Queensbury Boxing League - Ace Adams welcomes the return of Max Chart as they rematch

LEE ‘ACE’ ADAMS and Max Chart will once again meet to settle unfinished business of the Queensbury Boxing League’s ‘Capital Shakedown’ bill.

The two will meet on Saturday, November 24, in what will be a rematch of their initial October 2017 meeting.

They first competed for the National super-middleweight title but after Chart fell victim to an early cut over his eye in the first round the bout was declared a no contest.

Since that 2017 fight Chart has moved to Australia and not fought since while Adams has moved up to light-heavyweight to claim the National title against Navid Iran, and successfully defend it against Jack Avis.

However, as Chart returns to England to settle the score, Adams welcomes his comeback as he prepares to answer the one question left in his QBL career so far.

“It’s unfinished business, it’s going to be a cracking fight,” Adams said.

“We had a little taster with each other, but now this is real and hopefully it can go longer. I always say, same mission, different face, and we’re going to put on a tremendous show.

“It was getting good, we were warming to each other and then unfortunately we clashed heads and he got injured.

“I feel that this fight will be very good for me and for him and we can settle the unfinished business.

“I wish him the best of luck in his training and I’m always looking forward to new challenges, so hopefully he poses a different threat."

Adams prepares to showcase his skills for the first time in his home city of London, and the champion is aware of the pressure that comes with that.

“It always boils down to the night, under the lights, can you perform?” Adams said.

“And that’s what my ultimate challenge is, always making sure I put on a great performance for the fans.

“Hopefully it can be a lot more clinical boxing and a lot more fantastic skill demonstrating perfect boxing.

“It’s amazing I’m really looking forward to it, I soak up the energy and really willing and hoping I put on a great performance and handle business as usual.”
