Anderson Steps In For Big Title Shot

Queensbury Boxing League - Anderson Steps In For Big Title Shot

Rising undefeated Middleweight prospect Alexander Anderson will get his first crack at title glory sooner than expected, after stepping in at only four days notice to face fellow undefeated prospect Kieran Leinster this coming Saturday night at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey for the vacant Queensbury Southern Area Middleweight championship.

Anderson was last in action back in May at the league's "In The Line Of Fire" promotion producing another impressive display against Colchesters Adam Sharman in a contest that featured on British Eurosport, and after targetting a shot at one of the league's Middleweight titles later on this year, the twenty five year olds opportunity will come much sooner than expected after Leinsters original opponent Terry Russell was forced to withdraw from the contest after contracting a serious stomach virus.

Talking on social media website Facebook, Anderson said, " I'm fighting a guy who like myself is undefeated, and a good boxer, but I'm a born and bred fighter so whether I have to brawl or box its not going to be an easy fight but I'm going down to Epsom to bring that belt home and I feel privelidged to be one of the main fighst on the card"

"This is going to be one hell of a show and Ill either come back with that belt and my undefeated record intact, or knowing that I've given everything"
