With the dust only just beginning to settle down after the league's spectacular 2013 season finale produced one of the greatest nights of boxing entertainment in the league's history, fans of the UK's most exciting boxing competition have already been given something to look forward to next season with the announcement of another stacked line up of showdowns taking place on Saturday February 8th at the 2014 season opener at Millennium Arena in the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex.
Confirmed as the main event for the bumper season opener, Northampton's undefeated Super Middleweight standout Jason Felix will face Bromley's Lloyd Miller for the vacant Queensbury English Super Middleweight strap after recent title winner Freddie Yemofo confirmed he did not intend to defend the title. Miller was last in action against Yemofo back in November when he looked poised to claim his first Queensbury title after dominating proceedings during the opening two rounds of the contest, but a lapse in concentration and a devasting left hook delivered perfectly by Yemofo flipped the result on its head leaving Miller's title aspirations is disaray. For Felix it will also be his second bite at the title cherry after narrowly missing out on claiming the very same belt when he could only manage a hard fought draw against challenger John Hefford back in September, but the pair are now set to collide in a mouth watering dust up which should produce fireworks.
Also in title action undefeated Southern Area Middleweight champion Kieran "Lights Out" Leinster steps up to English level for the first time in his league career when he attempts to become a two division champion when he battles former English Super Middleweight title contender John Hefford for the recently vacated English 11st 6lbs title. Newly crowned Southern Area Cruiserweight champion Ben "The Butcher" Vickers will make the first defence of his title against mandatory challenger Adie Eckworth, and Novice Middleweight champion Tom Dolan also makes a quick fire return when he makes the second defence of his championship.
Full details of the rest of the line will be released later this week on the official online fight card
