Queensbury Boxing League - Gardner Promises Fans Early Christmas Cracker

Queensbury three weight champion Gareth Gardner has promised to finish 2012 off on a high next weekend, when the talented Middleweight takes on his toughest challenge of the year so far against highly touted challenger Nathan Leeson in the second defence of his British crown at the league's massive end of season finale at the Effingham Park Hotel.

The twenty eight year old carpenter from New Addington has enjoyed a whirlwind twelve-month’s since joining the ranks of the Queensbury Boxing League, picking up titles in three different weight divisions, and headlining several high profile shows on British Eurosport, and Gardner is confident of delivering an early Christmas present to all of his fans on November 24th by beating the number one ranked challenger for his crown.

“ Its been an amazing year for me since deciding to join the league, and like always I’m going into this fight confident that I will still be the champion when the final bell has sounded, commented Gardner.

“I don’t know much about Leeson, but I’ve been told he’s elusive and has a dig on him, but my major strength is my work rate and the fact I just keep throwing punches all night long so he’s going to have the toughest night of his life when we get in there on the 24th”

During the league's 2012 season of action, Gardner has recorded a hatrick of victories that has seen him become the league's most prolific champion, and with Gardner still promising fight fans that they are yet to see him at his best, the showdown with Leeson could just be his defining moment of the year.

“Although I’ve beaten every boxer that’s been put in front of me this year, I still feel that I’ve not shown my true potential, so for this fight I really want to go back to my boxing and work behind the jab and really put on an performance that everyone will remember.

With the stacked Edge Of Greatness line up featuring another 14 incredible fights as the league brings down the curtain on another memorable year of boxing, Gardner versus Leeson could just steal the show on what promises to be an amazing night for fight fans.
