Queensbury Boxing League - Hefford And Akram Collide In June 13th Main Event

Queensbury National Middleweight champion John "Charlsey" Hefford will step back through the ropes on Saturday June 13th for the first time as champion when he defends his belt in the main event of the league's huge summer blockbuster Feel The Heat at the Millennium arena in West Sussex.

Making the first defence of the title he claimed back in February against old rival Daniel Spencer, Hefford will meet one of the competitions most fearsome punchers Faraz Akram in a sizzling top of the bill clash that will undoubtedly produce real drama as the young challenger Akram looks to extend his formidable KO record and trip up the champion in his first defence.

Also in Middleweight title action Regional ruler Ben Davies will return after injury to face arguably his most dangerous assignment since he claimed the belt when he meets all action contender Bryan "The Pitbull" Richardson in a mouth watering clash for his crown.

Davies looked in unbeatable form in his last defence back in February when he beat challenger Mark Verity to extend his impressive run of victories, but after getting past former National title challenger Rossco Parker earlier this month, Richardson has proved he is a serious threat to the champion and has said nothing will stand in his way of being crowned champion on June 13th.

In Super Middleweight title action former National champion Terry Russell will attempt to regain his old title when he returns to face old rival Artur Gorka in yet another potential fight of the night collision. Russell and Gorka set the Epsom Downs Racecourse on fire back on season 4 when they went to war for the belt in a bruising battle that had the packed arena on their feet, and after champion Lloyd Miller vacated the belt due to injury and his move down to Middleweight the duo look set to go into the trenches once again as they look for glory.

More big fight announcements will be confirmed for the line up later this week as the competition heads towards yet another incredible evening of championship boxing, and for ticket information on the event contact the box office on 0203 751 8599
