I'm In The Best Shape Of My Life Claims Croft

Queensbury Boxing League - I'm In The Best Shape Of My Life Claims Croft

Super Middleweight Ben Croft say’s he will be in the shape of his life this Saturday night when he steps through the ropes to challenge Oxford’s Artur Gorka for the league's vacant Southern Area Super Middleweight title on the undercard of the massive In The Line Of Fire promotion.

Twenty four year old Croft, who recently signed with the league will take on Gorka for the chance to claim the title at the Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex on the undercard of the Parker vs Holloway rematch, and an exciting performance could see Croft become national news with teh promotiosn top six contests beimg shown on British Eurosport towards the end of the month.

“ I’m really excited to be boxing for the league, and to be making my debut on such a big show for this title is going to be amazing, commented Croft.

“My training for this fight has gone really well, and I’ve teamed up with a new coach who’s been working really hard with me to get me into the best possible shape, and come Saturday night I ‘m going to be in the best shape of my life"

The man standing in the opposite corner to Croft on the night has already established his credentials in the league with a career best display last time out beating established league star Rossco Parker to earn his crack at the belt, but unfazed by the opposition that awaits him, the Grantham stylist say’s he will be more than ready to knock Gorka out and bring the title back home.

“I watched Gorka’s last fight on DVD and he’s strong, aggressive and likes to come forward, but technically he’s not the greatest” “I’ve faced lots of lads in the past with a similar style and at times I’ve tried to stand there and trade with them, but for this one I’m looking to work off the back foot more and box a smarter fight, continued Croft.

“Come May 18th I’m looking to put on a good show, and I know I’ve got knockout power so if I catch him with one of my left hooks I believe I will take him out.
