Exciting Light Middleweight contender Oliver Lawrence has set his sights on glory next month, when the young prospect bids to lift his first title at the iconic Alexandra Palace in London.
The undefeated 21-year-old from Maidstone will step through the ropes on Saturday July 12th in his challenge for the coveted Queensbury National Light Middleweight title at the historic venue in one of the feature showdowns on the action packed Kings Of The Palace promotion being filmed for British Eurosport, and after displaying dazzling skills during his previous outings in the league, Lawrence could become one of the shows biggest stars if he can emerge with the victory.
Since joining the show nine months ago the Kent stylist has featured twice on Sky's British Eurosport with electric performances over Joey Pirotta and Darryl Davidson to earn his crack at the belt, and Lawrence believes boxing in front of thousands of people for the title will be the biggest moment of his boxing career.
“This is 100% the biggest fight of my life at an amazing venue, and I really can not wait to step into that ring at the Alexandra Palace in front of such a huge crowd and win that belt, commented Lawrence.
“ Since the Davidson victory back in February I’ve had a little injury problem that kept me out of fighting in April, but that’s all fine now and I’ve been back in the gym for the last 5 weeks starting my preparations for this title shot”
“Training wise I’m focussing of being stronger, fitter and more powerful than I’ve been in my previous outings, and the name of the game for me in this fight is getting that knockout and my hands on the title, and I’m 110% focussed on doing that on July 12th.
