Anthony Young has sent out a warning to rival Tey Lynn Jones telling the young contender he's in for the toughest fight of his career this Saturday night in Epsom.
The 31 year old veteran will return to the ring at the league's Grudge Match promotion after a 2 year hiatus from competing to lock horns with the highly touted contender in a showdown that could pave the way for the winner to challenge for titles later on in the season.
Young was last in action back on season 3 when he pushed talented Cuban champion Yisan Rodriguez all the way in a thrilling fight up at Light Cruiserweight, and Young has promised to take the fight straight to his Essex based rival in a fight that has all the ingredients to produce fireworks.
Talking ahead of the fight to Queensbury TV Young said: " I've seen Lynn-Jones in action on his league debut and he looks like a talented kid who can box, but I can promise him that on Saturday night he's in for a very tough night"
" I watched what he had to say in a recent interview and he sounded very confident about what he was going to do in this fight, but coming into this fight I'm fitter, and sharper than I've been for a long time and training has been going really well"
"At the end of the day I can't control how good my opponent is and how the judges see the fight, but what I can control is what I do in the fight and I'm very confident about getting the result this weekend"
Young versus Jones takes place this Saturday night in the Oaks arena at the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and for ticket information contact teh box office on 2023 751 8599
