Queensbury Boxing League - National Title Challenger Leinster Promises Scorcher

Queensbury national middleweight title challenger Kieran “Lights Out” Leinster has fired out a warning to defending champion Joel “Smoke” Wanderema ahead of their hotly anticipated collision, telling him his reign is on borrowed time.

Leinster will take on the defending champion in the main event of the league’s penultimate show of the season in West Sussex later this month, and the former champion has promised to recapture the title he relinquished back in 2014 when he challenged British ruler Gareth Gardner.

Talking ahead of the October 29th showdown at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel Leinster said,“ On October 29th I’m coming to reclaim my old title from Joel Wanderema, and I can promise my fans this fight is going to be a scorcher”

Once one of the most feared middleweight's in the division, Leinster has had to rebuild his career after losing his unblemished record at the hands of the divisions kingpin Gareth Gardner, and Quest Knockout tournament winner Tey Lynn-Jones, but after relocating his training to the Like 2 Box gym in Surrey "Lights Out" looks to be back with a bang and ready for further glory.

“I’m so hungry for this fight and the win that it’s driven me to train harder than ever before. If you ask my sparring partners what I’ve been like in the gym since I knew I was fighting Wanderema they will tell you I'm a different person, and this opportunity has really given me something to sink my teeth into.”

“ I’ve watched Joel many times in the league and I know the danger he brings into this fight for me, so I'm fully focussed on what I’ve got to do to win this fight”

“This fight is all about me exploiting Joel’s weaknesses, utilizing my strengths and executing the right game plan, and if I do that I’ll be champion again”

“I know Joel’s dangerous and has that wicked left hook that will put me to sleep if I’m not switched on during this fight, but I really want this and I'm coming to take back my belt.”

Leinster’s challenge for the National middleweight title will take place on Saturday October 29th at the millennium arena in the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex, and for ticket availability contact the shows box office on 0203 751 8599.
