Yisan Rodriguez has warned British title rival Duane Sinclair that nothing will stand in his way of claiming the vacant Queensbury British Light Cruiserweight title later this month when the pair collide at Breaking Point.
Rodriguez will face the former amateur boxing star in the mouth-watering showdown on Saturday November 30th in a contest that headlines the big end of season finale, and Rodriguez believes that his biggest challenge to date will show the nation that he is the real deal when he beats Sinclair in front of the Eurosport camera's.
The showdown will cap a remarkable comeback in the sport for the twenty six year old Ipswich based Cuban who so nearly missed out on fulfilling his dreams of becoming a boxing star after suffering a number of career threatening injuries in a road traffic accident back in 2010, but the man dubbed the Cuban Missile is now on the brink of firing himself to national stardom if he can prevail in the biggest fight of his career.
Talking ahead of the fight Rodriguez said, “ There will be no playing around in this fight, and the only thing I need to know is Duane Sinclair is standing in the way of me getting my hands on that title so come fight night nothing is going to stop me becoming champion”
"During the build up I’ve not seen any footage of him but I’ve heard he’s good, and I believe he is going to make this a great fight, but when you are facing someone with as much natural fighting talent as me there will be only one result, and that’s a Rodriguez victory”
“Training wise everything is going great, but its hard to find good sparring partners as not many people want to get in there with me which I can’t blame them for, but I’m feeling in great shape and I'm working harder than ever to ensure this is a fight everyone will be talking about"
“I really believe the big challenges bring out the best in me, and you are going to see me at my very best this time. In my last two fights in the league I've just gone in there and played around with my opponenets and done enough to win the fights, but this time I'm serious about showing Sinclair what I'm really all about and you can expect something special"
The British title showdown between Rodriguez and Sinclair heads up the league's biggest show of the 2013 season, and tickets for the evemt are priced at £35, £50 and £65.
