Two division regional champion Andre Grant say's he will let nothing stand in his way of capturing the biggest title win of his career next month, as he prepares for his defining night at the league's 2016 season finale.
The Farnborough star will travel down to the K2 arena in Crawley, West Sussex on Saturday December 3rd, to go toe to toe with former professional prize fighter Marc Callaghan for the vacant national Queensbury title, after building towards this moment for the past 2 years, Grant believes not even the vastly experienced Essex contender will come between him and winning the belt.
“ This is without a doubt the biggest fight of my career on December 3rd, and I’ve worked too hard not to win this title", said the Farnborough contender.
Grant was last in action back in June when he produced another gutsy display to beat Brighton warrior Lloyd Martin for the vacant regional Light Welterweight strap, but when the opportunity arose to challenge for the vacant national title in his old weight division, Grant decided to grab it with both hands.
“ I’ve won titles before in the Queensbury Boxing League, but the national belt puts the winner right there at the very top of the competition, and I won’t let anything stop me winning this belt”
Former pro Callaghan has shared the ring with a host of British boxing stars during his 54 fight career, including Ryan Walsh and Josh Warrington, but rather than unsettle Grant, the prospect of facing someone of Callaghan’s calibre has pushed him to train harder than ever.
“He’s the most experienced fighter I’ve ever faced, but that’s only motivated me to train even harder” continued Grant.
“I’m so hungry for this fight now, and winning the national title would mean everything to me so I won’t let anything stop me”
Grant's collision with Callaghan will take place on Saturday December 3rd at the K2 arena in Crawley, West Sussex, and for tickets to the event contact Andre on 07541 254679
