National Lightweight champion Danny Parsons say’s he is ready to take his league career to the next level, as he prepares to defend his title later this month in the co main event of the competitions Day Of Reckoning show.
The undefeated 20 year old from Kingston in Surrey will face Liverpudlian challenger Marvin Hilliaire on October 25th in the first defence of the title he claimed back in July at London’s Alexandra Palace, and Parsons is confident he can continue his unbeaten streak in the UK’s premier boxing league and record another memorable victory at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey.
Over the last two seasons on the show the young champion has established himself as one of the most exciting stars, racking up five appearances on British Eurosport with his ring exploits, and the fan favourite will be hoping he can produce another trademark performance for his growing fan base.
Taking ahead of the big night the champion said: “ Since winning the National title back in July in London I feel I’ve moved on to another level in my boxing, and I can’t wait to get in there now and defend my title on home soil.
“ Since my last win I’ve only had a couple of weeks out of the gym, and with a few weeks to go until fight night I feel in incredible shape and I literally could fight tomorrow I’m that ready.
“From what I’ve seen of Hilliare on Youtube he looks like he’s a mover and likes to hit and then quickly move out of range, but we’ve been working on a game plan for him specifically and I’m more than confident I will be able to deal with him on the night.
“ As I’ve said before I’ve worked too hard to get to where I am right now, and I can’t let it all slip away and lose my title and undefeated record to Hilliaire, so come October 25th you are going to see another great fight and my hand raised in victory.
Parsons first defence of his National title will take place in the Oaks arena at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey on Saturday October 25th, and for more information on the rest of the card click HERE
