Yisan Rodriguez has promised the league's fans an explosive performance when he returns to action next month at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey to face Northampton’s Paul Oko on the huge Pride And Glory promotion.
The twenty six year old was last in action back in May at the Effingham Park Hotel when he edged out Crawley’s Anthony Young over four thrilling rounds of action to mark an impressive debut in the competition, and after enduring a tough training schedule in preparation for his next assignment on September 14th, Rodriguez believes he is more than ready to fulfil his potential and overcome his toughest test so far.
The former amateur prospect will enter the ring for only the second time in 2013 as he continues to rebuild his career after suffering serious injuries in a freak road traffic accident back in 2010 that nearly cost the promising youngster his boxing future, but with everything going to plan now the man nicknamed the Cuban Missile is ready to continue his assault on the divisions best, starting with the dangerous Oko.
“ I really enjoyed my debut in the league back in May, and it was great to have my fight shown on British Eurosport, commented Rodriguez
“Even though I got the win last time out, I’ve not come close to showing my true potential, so I can’t wait to get back into action now and start to show people what I can do”
“Since my fight back in May I’ve been constantly in the gym and really pushing my limits, and at the moment I’m feeling in great shape, so I’m confident that whatever Paul Oko brings to this fight I’ll be more than ready to deal with it and get the victory”
Rodriguez’s showdown with Oko will feature on the packed fourteen-fight line up taking place at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey on Saturday September 14th, and to check out the full fight for the show click HERE
