Queensbury Boxing League - Ruegg Confident Of Victory On December 3rd

Trainer Danny Ruegg say’s he is 100% confident Amir Saghalati will return to Bournemouth with the biggest title win of his career next month, when they travel to West Sussex for the Reisser 2016 season finale.

Saghalati will climb through the ropes on December 3rd to face rival Iain Darvill for the chance to claim the coveted Queensbury Boxing League national light welterweight title on the undercard of the spectacular Only The Brave promotion, and Ruegg believes this time around his man will be celebrating a famous victory.

Saghalati and Darvill went toe to toe back in September, in what many observers have called the “fight of the year”, and after tasting the bitter pill of defeat, Ruegg has seen a different side to his prospects work in the gym.“

“Amir has always had an amazing attitude towards his training, but when he found out that he was getting the rematch and that the title was on the line, he’s taken his training to a whole new level, ”said Ruegg.

"Looking back at the first fight I honestly thought Amir had done enough to win it. Across the fight I thought he was landing the harder punches and doing more work, but he's a gentleman and took the result on the chin"

Based out of the House Of Pain in Bournemouth where Ruegg trains his stable of talented fighters, Saghalati has been totally focussed on doing everything he can to ensure victory, and Ruegg has been more than impressed with what he's seen in the build up.

“ During Amir's training for this rematch he's been putting in round after round of training to ensure that he’s going to be more than ready, and he’s been on fire in the gym, ” continued Ruegg

“ The first fight was incredible, and I think we are going to see plenty more of the same on December 3rd"

"With this being over the championship distance I think we’ll have that edge, and I'm 100% confident Amir will win the return”

Saghalati’s challenge for the national light welterweight title will take place on Saturday December 3rd at the K2 arena in Crawley, West Sussex, and for ticket information call teh Box Office on 0203 751 8599.
