Saturday March 12th see's the highly anticipated return of the Queensbury Boxing League when it unleashes its first promotion of 2011 at the fantastic Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey. Showdown looks set to deliver another adrenaline fueled evening of boxing as a host of new fighters enter the league looking to make their mark and establish their reputation in the UK's premier boxing league. The fourteen bout card features some mouthwatering encounters between some of the hottest new talent ever to grace a Queensbury ring, and some established champions who will be looking to cement their claim as the divisions best.
In title action Roundshaw's Lewis Pinto will face off against Bognors Kid Bucko for the vacant Queensbury Light Middleweight title. The heavy handed Pinto has established his credentials as an aggressive all action fighter who always comes to fight, whilst Bucko comes into the contest with a wealth of experience and ability that has seen him ply his trade all over the country. In this intriguing match the question remains will Bucko be able to take the power if Pinto gets the opportunity to detonate one of his big shots on his chin, and will Pinto be able to land as he faces the slippery bognor stylist who has all the tools to out box his rival and make it a very difficult nights work. Also on the card reigning Queensbury British Welterweight champion Jimmy Mizon faces a stern test of his championship credentials when he locks horns with the talented Fatjon Gola. Gola originally from Albania but now fighting out of East London presents a real challenge to the champion and looks set to push Mizon all the way as he attempts to relieve the champion of his unbeaten record.
