With just under five weeks to go until the league's exciting summer blockbuster opens its doors, all the talk has now turned to some of the eagerly anticipated title showdowns that have been confirmed for the night. In a line up that boasts an incredible array of boxing talent, some of the league's hottest prospects will be in action on one amazing evening of fistic action.
In one of the most hotly anticipated rematches ever to be staged inside a Queensbury ring, Ramsgate's Aaron Lowery will make the first defence of his Queensbury British Light Middleweight title against the man he dethroned for the crown Dan Lawrence. The pair last locked horns back in March on the league's big Night Of Champions promotion at the Epsom Downs Racecourse which saw challenger Lowery rip the belt away from the champion during a gruelling five round war that had the arena mesmerized by the proceedings. But this time the roles will be reversed with Lowery now entering with the belt and Lawrence taking on the role of challenger. If their return on June 30th turns out to be anything like the first encounter then Queensbury fans will be treated to something very special indeed.
Also featuring on the show will be Queensbury two weight British champion Gareth Gardner who returns after securing his second British title during his last appearance in the league. Gardner, the current holder of the league's British Super Middleweight title added the Middleweight strap to his achievements back in March with a dominant display over Michael McPherson, but up next in the first defence of the Middleweight title will be big hitting Viktor Voros who will prove to be no pushover when the pair share a ring. Voros last appeared in the league against back in 2010 against previous Middleweight champion Lewis Pinto, and his power was evident during that display, so Gardner will need to be on his A game and produce the silky skills that he has become known for since making his debut in the league.
In Super Middleweight action Ramsgate's exciting Sam Holloway will be back after being involved in one of the most enthralling title fights that the league has ever staged. In his last appearance Holloway went toe to toe with London's Rossco Parker in an epic five round war for the vacant English Super Middleweight strap, and after being involved in two fantastic fights since joining the league's ranks Holloway will be keen to build on his growing reputation as one of the most aggressive operators in the league. The man hoping to cut short his title reign will be Manchester's James Higgy who brings a wealth of experience to the table, and with a full training camp under his belt Higgy will not be intimidated by Holloway's reputation.
And in the final title contest to feature on the packed bill, Tom Knight makes a swift return to action after claiming the Queensbury novice Welterweight title at the end of April to face Crawley's Stuart Goodwin in a grudge match that has the potential to steal the show. The pair have already met previously in the league when Knight decisioned Goodwin during a fantastic clash for the title back in November of last year on the league's Fearless promotion, and ever since that evening Goodwin has been clamering for a second shot at Knight and believe's that this time the outcome will be very different.
In addition to the title attractions on the bill, the shows undercard will be bursting with some sizzling contests featuring a fresh new crop of boxers eager to stamp their authority on the UK's premier boxing league, so make sure you don't miss out on what promises to an unmissable night of action.
