Queensbury national middleweight champion Joel "Smoke" Wanderema has warned old rival Ben Davies that the title will not be changing hands next month when they reignite their rivalry.
Wanderema and Davies will go head to head in the Reisser Make Or Break main event on Saturday April 8th at the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and after demolishing Davies stablemate Kieran Leinster in his last defence, the champion is more than confident that Davies will be tasting the bitter pill of defeat for a second time.
Davies was last in action back in February when he bounced back to winning ways with a convincing win over two time national title challenger Rossco Parker, but even after looking impressive in that outing Brixton's Wanderema believes he has nothing to fear.
"I know Ben is going to bring it on April 8th as he wants to restore some pride, but I need to make it clear to him that the belt is staying in Brixton, said the champion.
"The first fight was a close one but I think I edged it on workrate and I was more aggressive during the contest"
" I think coming in to this fight we both know a lot more about each other and what we bring to the table, and I still think this will be a tactical fight"
" From the moment the fight was confirmed I've been training like a minataur in preparation for it, and on April 8th I'll be leaving the ring with the belt still around my waist"
Wanderema's second defence of the title will take place on Saturday April 8th in the Oaks arena at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey, and for ticket information call the Box Office on 0203 751 8599
