QBL regional welterweight title challenger Lee Cannon believes "nothing" will stop him winning his second title in the UK's premier boxing league this Saturday night, after finishing off the preparations for his main event showdown.
Cannon will open his 2016 season campaign in one of the biggest fights of his league career when he takes on the formidable defending champion Anthony Ayinde in the Who Dares Wins headline contest, and the bullish challenger say's he's itching to lace up the gloves and rip the title away from the champion.
Talking exclusively to QBL TV today ahead of the fight, Cannon again fired a warning out to the champion telling him that his reign as regional ruler was on borrowed time.
" I'm confident, focussed and in fantastic shape for this weekends title fight, and there is no doubt in my mind I'm going to be taking that belt off Ayinde, warned Cannon.
" In the build up to this fight I've been working incredibly hard in the gym, and I've been sparring with guys 2 or 3 stone heavier than me and I've been putting them down even wearing 16oz gloves, so when I put those 10oz gloves on and hit Ayinde I know he's going to feel that power.
" I don't want to give too much away about how I'm going to approach this fight, but what I do know is what I've been working on is going to finish this fight, and I'm leaving that ring with the belt"
Cannon's showdown with Ayinde will take place this Saturday night at the Copthorne Effingham Park Hotel in West Sussex as the main event, and for ticket information call the box office on 0203 751 8599
